Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, AQP4-AS1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 28 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated AQP4-AS1 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in uveal melanoma (UVM), where higher AQP4-AS1 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated AQP4-AS1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and KIRC show a favorable association.

UVM, HNSC, and KIRC are the cancer types where AQP4-AS1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
