Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ANKRD36C RNA is linked to patient survival in 26 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated ANKRD36C data layer compared with 8 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC), where higher ANKRD36C RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ANKRD36C expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCS and SKCM show a favorable association.
ACC, MESO, and KIRP are the cancer types where ANKRD36C RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
