Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ANKRD30A RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 7 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of ANKRD30A’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where ANKRD30A RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types ANKRD30A is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
KIRC, THCA, and KICH are the cancer types where ANKRD30A tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
