Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ANKRD20A11P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 6 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of ANKRD20A11P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where ANKRD20A11P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types ANKRD20A11P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as HNSC and COAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.

HNSC, COAD, and KICH are the cancer types where ANKRD20A11P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
