Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ALS2CL RNA is linked to patient survival in 22 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated ALS2CL data layer compared with 7 for mutation status and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher ALS2CL RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ALS2CL expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as ESCA and SARC show a favorable association.
KIRC, ESCA, and SARC are the cancer types where ALS2CL RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
