Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ALMS1-IT1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 29 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated ALMS1-IT1 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher ALMS1-IT1 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ALMS1-IT1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM and LGG show a favorable association.

KIRP, KIRC, and COAD are the cancer types where ALMS1-IT1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
