Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ALG1L6P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 12 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of ALG1L6P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where ALG1L6P RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types ALG1L6P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA and KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.

THCA, LIHC, and BRCA are the cancer types where ALG1L6P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
