Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, AKAP8L RNA is linked to patient survival in 25 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated AKAP8L data layer compared with 4 for mutation status and 7 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher AKAP8L RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated AKAP8L expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and PAAD show a favorable association.

KIRC, KICH, and LIHC are the cancer types where AKAP8L RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
