Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, AKAP8L Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated AKAP8L data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where higher AKAP8L Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated AKAP8L expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
BLCA, LUAD, and COAD are the cancer types where AKAP8L Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
