Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, AKAP8 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated AKAP8 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher AKAP8 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated AKAP8 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LUSC, DLBC, and SKCM are the cancer types where AKAP8 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
