Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, AKAP14 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated AKAP14 data layer compared with 16 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), where higher AKAP14 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated AKAP14 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
GBM are the cancer types where AKAP14 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
