Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, AKAIN1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 17 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated AKAIN1 data layer compared with 2 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher AKAIN1 RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated AKAIN1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and SCLC show a favorable association.
HNSC, SCLC, and LGG are the cancer types where AKAIN1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
