Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, AIRE Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated AIRE data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher AIRE Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated AIRE expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.

HNSC, STAD, and GBM are the cancer types where AIRE Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
