Across TCGA patient cohorts, AFP mutation is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 2,424 significant associations in total. UCEC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible AFP-associated genes across cancer lineages are PKN3, RNU7-134P, and MIR6803. Each is linked with AFP in more than 2 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both AFP-to-partner and partner-to-AFP results are reported.
