Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, AFDN-DT RNA is linked to patient survival in 22 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated AFDN-DT data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where higher AFDN-DT RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated AFDN-DT expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as READ and LUAD show a favorable association.

BRCA, OV, and SKCM are the cancer types where AFDN-DT RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
