Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ADH1B RNA is linked to patient survival in 22 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated ADH1B data layer compared with 3 for mutation status and 6 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in mesothelioma (MESO), where higher ADH1B RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ADH1B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as MESO and LIHC show a favorable association.

MESO, OV, and KIRP are the cancer types where ADH1B RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
