Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ACTA2-AS1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 22 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated ACTA2-AS1 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher ACTA2-AS1 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ACTA2-AS1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCS and HNSC show a favorable association.

KIRP, MESO, and UCS are the cancer types where ACTA2-AS1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
