Across TCGA patient cohorts, RNA activity of the Obsolete positive regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter in response to hypoxia pathway is significantly associated with the RNA expression of multiple genes, with the THYM cohort showing a particularly strong set of associations.

The most reproducible pathway-associated genes across cancer lineages are FTX, ARRDC3, and LRRC70, each associated with the pathway in up to 29 cancer types.
