Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ZSCAN5A RNA is linked to patient survival in 25 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated ZSCAN5A data layer compared with 5 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in brain lower grade glioma (LGG), where higher ZSCAN5A RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ZSCAN5A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as COAD and UVM show a favorable association.

LGG, ACC, and MESO are the cancer types where ZSCAN5A RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
