Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ZSCAN16-AS1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 21 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated ZSCAN16-AS1 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher ZSCAN16-AS1 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ZSCAN16-AS1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as MESO and KIRP show a favorable association.

SKCM, MESO, and KIRP are the cancer types where ZSCAN16-AS1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
