Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ZSCAN12P1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 25 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated ZSCAN12P1 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher ZSCAN12P1 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ZSCAN12P1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and UVM show a favorable association.

KIRP, KIRC, and LUSC are the cancer types where ZSCAN12P1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
