Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ZSCAN12 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated ZSCAN12 data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in cervical squamous cell carcinoma and endocervical adenocarcinoma (CESC), where higher ZSCAN12 Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ZSCAN12 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CESC and UCEC show a favorable association.
CESC, UCEC, and LIHC are the cancer types where ZSCAN12 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
