ZPBP

Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ZPBP RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 10 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of ZPBP’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where ZPBP RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types ZPBP is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and KIRC show the opposite, repressed pattern.

THCA, KIRC, and KICH are the cancer types where ZPBP tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
