Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ZNF835 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 15 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of ZNF835’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where ZNF835 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types ZNF835 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and COAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.

THCA, COAD, and LUAD are the cancer types where ZNF835 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
