Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ZNF808 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 7 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of ZNF808’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where ZNF808 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types ZNF808 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and KIRC show the opposite, repressed pattern.

THCA, KIRC, and CHOL are the cancer types where ZNF808 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
