Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ZNF800 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 11 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of ZNF800’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where ZNF800 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types ZNF800 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and UCEC show the opposite, repressed pattern.

THCA, KIRP, and COAD are the cancer types where ZNF800 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
