Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ZNF776 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 10 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of ZNF776’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where ZNF776 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types ZNF776 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.

BLCA, THCA, and BRCA are the cancer types where ZNF776 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
