Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ZNF652 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 12 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of ZNF652’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where ZNF652 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types ZNF652 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.

THCA, HNSC, and LIHC are the cancer types where ZNF652 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
