Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ZNF621 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 11 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of ZNF621’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where ZNF621 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types ZNF621 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and LUSC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
LIHC, COAD, and CHOL are the cancer types where ZNF621 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
