Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ZNF587B RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 16 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of ZNF587B’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where ZNF587B RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types ZNF587B is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRP and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
LIHC, BLCA, and STAD are the cancer types where ZNF587B tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
