Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ZNF519 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 13 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of ZNF519’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where ZNF519 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types ZNF519 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.
THCA, KIRC, and KICH are the cancer types where ZNF519 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
