Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ZNF444 RNA is linked to patient survival in 24 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated ZNF444 data layer compared with 1 for mutation status and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in mesothelioma (MESO), where higher ZNF444 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ZNF444 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BLCA and CESC show a favorable association.
MESO, ACC, and KIRC are the cancer types where ZNF444 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
