Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ZNF438 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated ZNF438 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in small cell lung cancer (SCLC), where higher ZNF438 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ZNF438 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
SCLC, LUSC, and UCEC are the cancer types where ZNF438 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
