Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ZNF397 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated ZNF397 data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher ZNF397 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ZNF397 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
HNSC, UCEC, and SKCM are the cancer types where ZNF397 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
