Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ZNF383 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 11 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of ZNF383’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where ZNF383 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types ZNF383 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and UCEC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
THCA, LIHC, and UCEC are the cancer types where ZNF383 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
