Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ZNF33A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated ZNF33A data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher ZNF33A Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ZNF33A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and SKCM show a favorable association.
HNSC, UCEC, and BLCA are the cancer types where ZNF33A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
