Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ZNF311 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 10 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of ZNF311’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where ZNF311 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types ZNF311 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and UCEC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
COAD, THCA, and UCEC are the cancer types where ZNF311 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
