Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ZNF22 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated ZNF22 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher ZNF22 mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ZNF22 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as PDAC show a favorable association.
LUAD, PDAC, and HNSC are the cancer types where ZNF22 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
