Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ZNF197 RNA is linked to patient survival in 27 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated ZNF197 data layer compared with 7 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney chromophobe (KICH), where higher ZNF197 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ZNF197 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and UCS show a favorable association.
KICH, KIRC, and UCS are the cancer types where ZNF197 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
