Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ZIC2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated ZIC2 data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher ZIC2 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ZIC2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
LUSC, COAD, and UCEC are the cancer types where ZIC2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
