Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ZG16 RNA is linked to patient survival in 26 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated ZG16 data layer compared with 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in mesothelioma (MESO), where higher ZG16 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ZG16 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CESC and READ show a favorable association.
MESO, HNSC, and DLBC are the cancer types where ZG16 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
