Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ZFY Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated ZFY data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher ZFY Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ZFY expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
HNSC and BLCA are the cancer types where ZFY Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
