Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ZFPM2 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated ZFPM2 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 14 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher ZFPM2 mass-spec protein is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ZFPM2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC show a favorable association.
HNSC and LUAD are the cancer types where ZFPM2 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
