Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ZER1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated ZER1 data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher ZER1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ZER1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
HNSC, PRAD, and BLCA are the cancer types where ZER1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
