Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ZDHHC5 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated ZDHHC5 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher ZDHHC5 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ZDHHC5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
HNSC, ACC, and BLCA are the cancer types where ZDHHC5 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
