Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ZCCHC8 RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated ZCCHC8 data layer compared with 10 for mutation status and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC), where higher ZCCHC8 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ZCCHC8 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BRCA and UCS show a favorable association.
ACC, LGG, and LIHC are the cancer types where ZCCHC8 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
