Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ZC2HC1C RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated ZC2HC1C data layer compared with 4 for mutation status and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher ZC2HC1C RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ZC2HC1C expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and MESO show a favorable association.
KIRC, MESO, and KIRP are the cancer types where ZC2HC1C RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
