Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ZC2HC1A mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated ZC2HC1A data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), where higher ZC2HC1A mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ZC2HC1A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LSCC and GBM show a favorable association.

PDAC, UCEC, and CCRCC are the cancer types where ZC2HC1A mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
