Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ZBTB1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 22 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated ZBTB1 data layer compared with 5 for mutation status and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher ZBTB1 RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ZBTB1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and KIRC show a favorable association.
HNSC, KIRC, and ACC are the cancer types where ZBTB1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
