Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ZBED8 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated ZBED8 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher ZBED8 Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ZBED8 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and SKCM show a favorable association.
UCEC and SKCM are the cancer types where ZBED8 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
